What you do here:
- Performing effective business partnering/ Creating transparency and a spirit of collaborating and inclusion
- Provide strategic support and advice to senior finance managers and country manager
- Carry out the Financial Planning process of Korea and Japan market: develop near-term and long-term budget plans, monitor budget implementation to ensure commitments are timely met, update the budget/forecast periodically
- Carry out financial performance analysis for the regional business, generate performance improvement proposals to the headquarter and country manager;
- Responsible for optimizing the practices, policies, programs, procedures and personnel activities of the finance function in Korea and Japan market;
- Proactively managing risks and opportunities/Supporting local, regional and global projects
- Conduct regular industry analysis and Business Intelligence research.
Who we are looking for:
Required:
- 5+ years of FP&A or equivalent work experience in content, media or tech industry;
- Demonstrated track record of success operating effectively as finance business partner at mid-senior leadership level is required, preferable with experience in a change management and cost optimization context.
- Prior experience with SQL is a plus;
- Hard skills: data analysis, financial modeling, and financial analysis;
- Soft skills: great communication skills, strong logical reasoning and critical thinking;
- Academic degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent.
- Fluency in Korean/English, written and orally.
Preferred:
- Experience working across various locations/timezones, global organizations and a certain mobility is desired.
- Knowledge of US-GAAP, IFRS rules and (J)-SOX is preferred.
- Advanced experience in using Microsoft Office/Google Package and experience with EBS/SAP is preferred
- Experience with PDW and HFM is an advantage.
- MBA/ CPA are a plus.
- Fluency in Japanese/Chinese, written and orally.
